Children with exposure to travel typically adapt better to change than their less-traveled counterparts. Adventures and travel also foster reflectiveness, a trait becoming more and more uncommon in today’s fast-paced society.

Appropriate Timing
While traveling can be excellent for a child’s learning and development, it can be good to delay adventures until kids have reached a certain age or maturity level. With aspirations that travel will enrich our children, age-appropriate timing can help the whole family make the most of the experience.

Ripe for exploration, there are tons of cool travel ideas within the United States… consider the thrill of a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon or tropical volcanos in Hawaii, roll up your sleeves and dig for dinosaur bones in the Badlands, catch a play on Broadway in New York City or at Ford’s Theatre in Washington D.C., walk amongst the giant Redwoods in Northern California, ski or snowboard spectacular snow-covered mountains in Utah or Colorado, take in the breathtaking beauty of the Arches in Moab, tour the windy city and visit an abundance of museums across Chicago, and take in a Yankees-Red Sox game at historic Fenway Park. With so much to explore in the United States, adventures could last a lifetime.

Global Travel
Board a cruise ship to visit the Caribbean or the Mediterranean, walk amongst the ruins in Athens or Rome, tour The Great Wall of China, witness wildlife in its habitat in the Amazon jungle or on safari in Africa, behold the magnificence of the Pyramids in Egypt or the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. By letting our imaginations run wild, these adventures and so many more can turn the world into our backyard.
